Tropical Depression Josie has been downgraded to a low pressure area (LPA) as of July 14, 2026. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported that Josie weakened just 13 hours after entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
At its last reported position, the LPA was located 1,125 kilometers east of southeastern Luzon. Current environmental conditions are deemed unfavorable for further development of tropical cyclones, leading PAGASA to predict its imminent dissipation over the Philippine Sea.

The remnant low will move generally north northeastward over the Philippine Sea.

While Josie has dissipated, another tropical depression forming outside PAR may influence weather patterns. This system, located 940 kilometers west northwest of extreme Northern Luzon, is expected to move away from the Philippines without direct effects.
Despite the absence of significant weather disturbances, PAGASA has advised that certain provinces may experience isolated rain showers due to the ongoing southwest monsoon. Areas such as Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Abra could see localized thunderstorms by Tuesday evening.
