Tropical storm 'Josie,' formerly known as Haishen, has officially entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), marking the 10th storm of the year for the country. According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the storm is currently located 1,085 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas.

Weather specialist Veronica Torres noted that Josie is moving northwest at a speed of 25 kilometers per hour (kph) but is not anticipated to have a direct impact on the Philippines.
It would likely exit the PAR region by Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning.

Currently, the storm has maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near its center, with gusts reaching up to 80 kph. However, conditions are expected to weaken Josie into a tropical depression within the next 12 hours.
As Josie moves further away, residents in other parts of the country, including Metro Manila, can expect partly cloudy to overcast skies with isolated rain showers and localized thunderstorms.
