Luzon is set for cloudy skies and scattered rain due to a low-pressure area (LPA) located over the coastal waters of Rapu-Rapu, Albay. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) made this announcement early Wednesday.

Regions Affected by the Weather Advisory

  • Metro Manila
  • Central Luzon
  • CALABARZON
  • Bicol Region
  • Oriental Mindoro
  • Occidental Mindoro
  • Romblon
  • Marinduque

Pagasa's 4 a.m. advisory indicated that these areas will experience not only cloudy skies but also scattered rain and thunderstorms linked to the LPA.

In Northern Luzon, the Cagayan Valley and Isabela regions will be affected by the easterlies, leading to similar weather patterns with cloudy skies and scattered rain.

Meanwhile, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, and parts of Cagayan Valley can expect partly to mostly cloudy conditions, with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms arising from the easterlies.

The rest of the country should anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Pagasa warned of flash floods or landslides in areas experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall.
