President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. officially opened the new extension of the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) on Monday. The 4.5-kilometer Subsection 3 aims to shorten travel time between Biñan City, Laguna, and General Trias, Cavite, from one hour to just 26 minutes.
This extension, which connects to the Governor’s Drive Interchange, is expected to alleviate traffic congestion in both regions. The new segment will be toll-free for the first month after its opening at midnight.
So to our fellow countrymen, use it. See and feel the big relief that these kinds of projects bring.

With this addition, the operational length of CALAX now reaches 26 kilometers, accommodating an estimated 6,000 more vehicles daily. The entire CALAX project will eventually connect the Manila-Cavite Expressway in Kawit to the South Luzon Expressway in Mamplasan.
Once fully integrated with CAVITEX, the entire network is projected to handle approximately 95,000 vehicles each day, enhancing overall connectivity in the region.
