  • Distribution of medicines and food

As part of Hypertension Awareness Month in May, the foundation provided electrocardiogram (ECG) tests and HbA1c testing to residents affected by the fire. Dr. Biboy Molando from the Quezon City Health Department noted the concerning trend of increasing hypertension rates among younger individuals.

Besides health services, the GMA Kapuso Foundation also organized a lecture on hypertension and a Zumba session to promote wellness. Volunteer artists entertained the crowd, fostering a sense of community amid the struggles.

Rikki Escudero-Catibog, the foundation's AVP and COO, emphasized the importance of addressing not only immediate needs but also providing ongoing support to fire victims.

The GMA Kapuso Foundation continues to seek donations to support its initiatives, accepting contributions via various banks and platforms. Interested individuals can learn more through the GMA Kapuso Foundation website.
