  • Children received a donation of ₱150,000 for their care.
  • The event included cultural presentations and a boodle fight.

The welcoming ceremony took place at Camp Aguinaldo, with Maj. Gen. Rosendo Abad of the AFP-Joint Special Operations Command leading the proceedings. Brig. Gen. Mikee Romero served as the guest of honor, emphasizing the role of community collaboration in enhancing the lives of vulnerable youth.

The initiative, which connects the MRF with local government and humanitarian organizations, reflects a broader commitment to supporting indigenous communities. During the event, children showcased their cultural heritage through traditional dances, underscoring the importance of preserving their identity while pursuing education.

Brig. Gen. Romero reminded the children of their unique opportunity, highlighting the collective effort that made this transition possible. The military officials distributed school supplies to the children, generating excitement and reinforcing community support.

Jojo Perez, representing the Tuloy Foundation, stated that the children will benefit from comprehensive programs that include education, healthcare, and values formation. This collaboration illustrates how various sectors can unite to uplift marginalized groups.

The successful coordination of this initiative demonstrates the potential for multi-sectoral partnerships to create lasting change. As these 23 Manobo children embark on their educational journey, they carry the hopes of their communities for a brighter future.
