Luzon is bracing for a wet Wednesday as the southwest monsoon, locally known as 'habagat', unleashes scattered rains across the region.
Regions Under Rain Advisory
Metro Manila and surrounding provinces including Ilocos Region, Benguet, Abra, and Pampanga are among the areas expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall.
Moderate to heavy rains in those areas could result in flash floods or landslides.

In addition to the rainfall, moderate to strong winds and rough seas are anticipated along the northern and western coasts of Luzon.
While the rest of the country may see isolated rain showers, the focus remains on mitigating the impact of the habagat across Luzon.
Historically, the southwest monsoon can lead to significant weather patterns in the Philippines, often resulting in both beneficial rainfall and destructive flooding.
