A red rainfall warning has been declared for Metro Manila and much of Central and Southern Luzon, as heavy monsoon rains continue to batter the region. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) issued the alert due to the influence of Typhoon Dolphin, currently located near Taiwan.

Specific municipalities facing the highest risks include San Felipe and Olongapo in Zambales, as well as several areas in Batangas like Nasugbu and Calatagan. This widespread alert signals imminent and serious flooding threats.
In addition to the red warning, an orange rainfall alert has been issued for several municipalities, including parts of Rizal and Laguna. These areas may experience threatening flood conditions, prompting residents to remain vigilant.
A yellow rainfall warning is also in effect for areas including Tarlac and Quezon, indicating potential flooding but with less severity compared to the red and orange warnings.
The heavy rains are expected to continue, particularly impacting Nueva Ecija and parts of Quezon, where light to moderate rain could lead to further flooding within the next few hours.
