Heavy rainfall is hitting parts of Metro Manila and several provinces in Luzon today, prompting the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) to issue multiple alerts.

Severe Weather Alerts Across Luzon

Residents are advised to remain vigilant and prepare for the possibility of severe flooding in their areas.

Pagasa Bulletin

The red rainfall alert covers Batangas, Zambales, and Bataan, urging residents in affected areas to prepare for severe flooding. Towns in Batangas include Balayan, Tuy, and Lipa.

In Metro Manila, the orange rainfall warning affects Muntinlupa and Las Pinas, while provinces such as Pampanga and Tarlac are also under similar alerts. Flooding is likely in these regions.

A yellow alert is in place for several cities including Caloocan, Quezon City, and Pasig, as well as parts of Rizal and Laguna, indicating possible flooding.

Light to moderate rains, with occasional heavy downpours, are expected in Nueva Ecija and parts of Quezon and Bulacan, while moderate to heavy rains are forecast for Romblon and Marinduque.

As the southwest monsoon continues to influence weather patterns, provinces like Benguet and La Union should brace for ongoing monsoon rains, while other areas will experience varying degrees of rainfall.
