The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has forecasted that the southwest monsoon, locally known as habagat, will bring significant rainfall to various regions, particularly in Luzon and the Visayas.

Pagasa has issued warnings regarding the potential for flash floods and landslides in areas that may experience moderate to heavy rainfall.

In related news, Typhoon Dolphin is currently located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, approximately 810 kilometers northeast of extreme northern Luzon.
