Tropical Depression Maymay has officially weakened into a low pressure area (LPA) as of 2 AM on August 7, 2026. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) confirmed that the LPA is moving eastward at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour.

Impact on the Southwest Monsoon

While Maymay has dissipated, Typhoon Dolphin, located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), is enhancing the southwest monsoon, resulting in heavy rainfall across Luzon and Western Visayas.
