The trough of a Low-Pressure Area (LPA) is expected to bring rain across the Visayas and eastern Mindanao, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Weather Advisory for Affected Regions

In its early morning advisory, Pagasa indicated that areas including Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, Masbate, Sarangani, and South Cotabato will experience cloudy skies accompanied by scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and other parts of the country are expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies, with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

The Visayas will experience light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast to northwest, causing slight to moderate coastal waters.

Most regions in Luzon will remain generally fair as the LPA is still located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Precautionary Measures

Pagasa has cautioned residents in areas likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfall about the risks of flash floods and landslides.

The weather agency recommends that the public stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions during this period of rain.
