Evacuations Underway in Batangas and Cavite
In Batangas City, the Coast Guard reported the evacuation of 49 individuals from Barangay Libjo due to rising waters. Similar evacuations occurred in Lian and Mabini, where emergency shelters were established.
In Cavite, residents from Barangay Gahak in Kawit were rescued as floodwaters approached waist-deep levels, affecting 22 families.
Widespread Impact in Other Regions
Flooding was also reported in Romblon, where families were evacuated from low-lying areas. In Obando, Bulacan, floodwaters reached ankle-deep but roads remained passable.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued Orange Rainfall Warnings, urging residents to remain vigilant.
