Typhoon Francisco has officially formed, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa). The storm intensified into a typhoon on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
As of 5 p.m. Sunday, Francisco was located approximately 820 kilometers northeast of Eastern Visayas, with maximum sustained winds of 120 kilometers per hour (kph) and gusts reaching 150 kph.
