**Iloilo City** is set to reward its athletes competing in the upcoming Palarong Pambansa with cash incentives announced by Mayor Raisa Treñas. Medals will come with financial rewards aimed at encouraging sports excellence among local participants.
Gold medalists will receive ₱7,000, while silver and bronze medalists will earn ₱5,000 and ₱3,000, respectively. This initiative reflects the city’s dedication to nurturing its sports talents.
During a recent event on May 13, 2026, where allowances and uniforms were distributed to 191 delegates, Treñas emphasized the need for adequate facilities across districts. She stated, “Siguraduhon naton nga tanan nga distrito may ara facility para sa aton mga atleta.”
