The Tao people, who traveled on their traditional boat, the Ovaya, reached Mahatao Port after sailing from Lanyu. This journey is part of a broader initiative to restore historical ties between the Tao and Ivatan communities.
This voyage seeks to revive centuries-old maritime links between the Tao people of Lanyu and the Ivatan people of Batanes.
