The couple expressed their disappointment on social media, stating that their Motion for Reconsideration was denied despite presenting strong evidence. They noted that multiple eyewitnesses provided clear testimonies regarding the bullying incidents involving their seven-year-old son.
They also submitted a Psychiatric Evaluation Report, which diagnosed their child with Adjustment Disorder, highlighting the trauma he has endured. In their statement, the couple questioned the dismissal of their evidence, asking, "How can they say there is no evidence?"
Vargas and his wife emphasized that their legal efforts extend beyond their family, aiming to advocate for all victims of bullying. They urged society to take such issues seriously, stating, "Is justice only for bullies?"
Rob Sy, who has denied the allegations, previously asserted that the claims against his son were unfounded. In response to the accusations, he argued the improbability of such incidents occurring under close supervision.
Despite the challenges, the Vargas couple remains hopeful about the Philippine justice system. They are committed to pursuing all legal avenues until justice is served for their child.
