On June 18, 2026, Prontera Technologies Corp. (NPC) introduced its disaster resilience application, *bagyo.app*, at a launch event in Naga City. This pilot project, developed in collaboration with the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation, aims to improve community emergency readiness through advanced technology.
Engaging Youth in Disaster Preparedness
The launch attracted over 80 youth leaders from Naga, who participated in an interactive demonstration of the app's capabilities. The platform aggregates real-time weather data, citizen-generated distress reports, and AI-powered alerts to enhance local emergency response.
The application features the Autonomous Emergency Reporting Intel System (Agent A.E.R.I.S.) and employs blockchain technology to ensure secure reporting.
With Naga City youth leading this pilot, Bagyo.app is set to roll out as an open-source & decentralized platform for other communities throughout the country.
Jared Dillinger, CEO of New Prontera Corp.
- Youth leaders will use the app during emergencies.
- The initiative is free for the SK Federation, including training and technical support.
The event culminated in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by NPC and the SK Federation, formalizing their collaboration. Under the agreement, youth leaders will act as community correspondents, using the app to report emergencies and encourage local adoption.
Future Expansion Plans
Following the pilot, NPC intends to make *bagyo.app* an open-source platform, allowing other youth organizations and local government units across the Philippines to adopt the technology. This aligns with NPC's goal of enhancing disaster response and resilience initiatives nationwide.
