BCDA President Joshua M. Bingcang emphasized the importance of community input during the consultation process. He assured the public that the agency would assist local farmers affected by the land designated for the AI hub.

The 1,619-hectare hub is intended for the development of manufacturing facilities for AI and semiconductor products, not data centers, according to Bingcang.
Despite these assurances, skepticism persists among industry stakeholders. Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc. President Sergio R. Ortiz-Luis Jr. called for more transparency regarding resource allocation for the project. He highlighted the necessity for measures that protect local communities from displacement.
Ortiz-Luis stated, "I am not against it; I have questions that need to be answered." His sentiments echo concerns voiced by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) President Ferdinand A. Ferrer, who welcomed scrutiny to ensure that safeguards are implemented.
Ferrer mentioned that international interest in the AI hub is growing, with potential investments expected to reach up to $70 billion once fully operational. Both the Philippines and the US aim to finalize the governing framework for the initiative by November.
