Indonesia has reopened Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and four other airports following the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau that occurred on September 7, 2026. The ash clouds have cleared, allowing flights to resume.

The volcanic activity affected approximately 341,000 passengers, leading to the cancellation and diversion of nearly 3,000 flights across the region. Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi confirmed operations resumed after favorable weather conditions.
