The death toll from Typhoon Inday (Bavi) and the southwest monsoon has tragically risen to 20, with 16 individuals still reported missing, as confirmed by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) on July 13, 2026.
Affected Regions and Fatalities
Sarangani province recorded the highest fatalities, with 10 deaths in Malapatan. Additional fatalities include six in Calanogas, Lanao del Sur, and isolated cases in various localities including Tubungan, Iloilo, and Quezon in Bukidnon.
The NDRRMC has reported nine injuries related to the disaster, affecting individuals in Baguio City and other areas.
Search and rescue efforts are ongoing for 16 individuals reported missing across multiple regions, including Davao Occidental and Maguindanao del Sur.

Approximately 146,000 families, or around 654,000 individuals, have been affected by the storm's impact, leading to widespread displacement due to flooding and landslides.
Currently, over 20,100 individuals are sheltered in 162 evacuation centers, as the government assesses the damage and provides humanitarian assistance.
Initial estimates indicate that the storm has caused P3.18 million in infrastructure damage, with 890 houses affected, including 613 partially damaged and 277 completely destroyed.
In response to the crisis, the government has allocated P43.38 million for humanitarian aid, which includes food packs and financial assistance to those impacted by the typhoon.
