Kiyapo could make landfall in Cagayan province’s Babuyan Islands by Friday evening, July 24, with potential intensification to a tropical storm.

As Kiyapo approaches the Cagayan area, PAGASA has issued Signal No. 1 for parts of Cagayan and Isabela, alerting residents to prepare for strong winds.
Residents in the eastern parts of Cagayan and Isabela should be vigilant as the storm may bring heavy rainfall and high winds.
Rainfall and Additional Warnings
The expected rainfall from Kiyapo is significant, with forecasts indicating heavy to intense rainfall in the following areas: PAGASA also cautioned that the southwest monsoon will contribute to adverse weather conditions, affecting most of the country.
Authorities warn of possible floods and landslides in vulnerable areas.
Safety Precautions
Small vessels are advised to avoid sailing due to rough seas, particularly in the southeastern and eastern seaboards of Davao.
After making landfall, Kiyapo is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by July 25.
