The outer bands of Super Typhoon Inday (Bavi) will interact with the southwest monsoon, leading to scattered rain and thunderstorms across the Philippines. As of July 8, 2026, the typhoon was located 1,170 kilometers east of Northern Luzon.

PAGASA reported that Inday currently boasts maximum sustained winds of 195 km/h and gusts reaching 240 km/h. Although it is expected to weaken into a typhoon by July 9 or 10, residents should prepare for possible flash floods and landslides.

As Inday approaches, areas under Signal No. 1 include Ilocos Norte, Cagayan, and parts of Abra, where strong winds are expected. PAGASA warns that these winds could escalate to Signal No. 2 or 3.
The sea conditions in affected areas may become dangerous, with waves reaching up to 5 meters high. Fishermen and travelers are urged to stay informed and avoid venturing out.
