Mayon Volcano released another pyroclastic density current (PDC) on Tuesday morning, but officials reported no ashfall in surrounding areas.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) confirmed the PDC occurred at 7:19 a.m. and again at 7:26 a.m., specifically along the Mi-isi gully on the volcano's southwestern slopes.
This latest activity follows a similar event on May 2, when a PDC resulted in significant ash and smoke, affecting towns such as Camalig and Guinobatan.
Authorities have maintained Alert Level 3 for Mayon, indicating continued magmatic unrest and the need for vigilance among residents.
The recent PDC did not lead to ashfall, ensuring the safety of residents nearby.
