Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island has shown signs of increased activity, emitting ash on Tuesday morning.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) noted that the ash plume reached approximately 500 meters above the crater.
This latest event, recorded at 8:58 a.m., is part of a series of ash emissions, totaling 15 since June 15.
Public Safety Reminders Amid Volcanic Activity
The ash emissions indicate the volcano is actively restless and unsafe.

According to Bacolcol, the ash plume contained pulverized rock and volcanic glass, drifting mainly southwest.
While the ash emissions are concerning, Bacolcol clarified that they do not necessarily signal an imminent eruption.
