The flooding is linked to the ongoing southwest monsoon, which is expected to continue impacting Zambales. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) forecasts between 50 to 100 millimeters of rain in the region from Monday to Thursday.
Castillejos has reported the highest number of evacuees, with 145 families or 512 individuals needing relocation due to the adverse weather conditions.
