Local authorities reported that the tremor affected dozens of houses and public buildings, primarily causing cracks and minor structural issues.

San Julian Mayor Dorie Jorgie Estaron indicated that at least 36 homes and 22 public structures were impacted. Damaged facilities included the municipal hall, police station, and several schools.

At the East Visayan Institute, Inc., a private school, a damaged firewall was demolished as a safety precaution.

Minor damage was also reported at a chapel, and one individual sustained injuries from falling debris, according to Estaron.

No Major Destruction Reported

The Office of Civil Defense for Eastern Visayas confirmed no major destruction or fatalities related to the earthquake. The Philippine National Police noted minor damages at several police facilities, including stations in Can-avid, Taft, and San Julian.

Nearby towns such as Dolores and Oras also experienced light damage. Fortunately, all major roads and bridges in the province remain passable.
