Significant rainfall is forecasted for more than 20 provinces in the Philippines as the southwest monsoon continues to affect Luzon and parts of Visayas. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a warning on September 9, 2026, highlighting the potential for floods and landslides.

As of now, PAGASA has not identified any new low-pressure areas or tropical cyclones within or near the Philippine Area of Responsibility. However, the agency has noted that conditions could lead to the formation of low-pressure systems later in the week.
