Kim Chiu attended the arraignment of her brother at the Quezon City Hall of Justice on September 24, 2026. This court appearance is tied to allegations of qualified theft against him.
The case involves 124 counts of theft, with accusations that her brother allegedly withdrew P44 million from Kim's business without authorization.

Her brother entered a not guilty plea during the proceedings. Kim's attorney, Atty. Margrein Archernar M. Gregana, emphasized that this is not merely a personal dispute but a matter initiated by the company The House of LittleBunny Philippines, Inc., where Kim is a shareholder.
The arrest occurred on Sunday in Mandaluyong City, following an outstanding warrant related to the theft charges. According to police reports, he is currently detained while awaiting a commitment order from the court.
The court has set bail at P5,838,000 for his temporary release.
