DianXing Zhu defeated Ian Paul Abne by unanimous decision in a thrilling main event at Fist of Fury 10, held on May 9 at the Cebu Coliseum. This victory secures Zhu a mandatory shot at the IBF world minimumweight title.

The judges scored the bout 115-111, 114-112, and 116-110 in favor of Zhu, who improved his record to 17 wins, including 14 knockouts.

Zhu's win extends his current streak to 12, following his only loss in 2020. He has now added Abne to his list of victories over Filipino fighters.

Abne Suffers First Career Defeat

Ian Abne faced the first defeat of his professional career, dropping to 12 wins, four by knockout, with one loss and two draws. The fight was intense, with both boxers displaying incredible resilience.

Abne started strong, landing powerful combinations in the early rounds. However, Zhu's persistent pressure began to take its toll, pushing Abne into close exchanges.

Zhu scored two knockdowns during the match, the first in the sixth round when Abne slipped after taking a barrage of punches. The second knockdown came in the eighth round as Zhu trapped Abne against the ropes.

A Battle of Endurance

Despite the setbacks, Abne rallied in the later rounds, landing heavy shots on Zhu. However, his efforts were not enough to close the gap on the judges' scorecards.

It was a tough fight, but I kept pushing and stayed focused on my goal, which was to win this eliminator.
