Tristan Padilla and Lisa Sarines delivered standout performances at the ICTSI Sherwood Hills Junior PGT Championship, part of the Luzon Series, on Wednesday in Cavite. Both secured commanding wins in the 15-18 division, effectively sealing their victories well before the final round.

Padilla entered the day with an 11-stroke lead over Shinichi Suzuki, quickly extending it to 15 after just six holes. As Suzuki struggled, Padilla maintained his composure, closing the tournament with a two-under 70 and a total score of 212, finishing 16 strokes clear of his competitors.

Despite his back-to-back victories, Padilla, 17, emphasized his commitment to improvement. "There’s still a lot of room for improvement, and I’ll keep working on that," he stated. His focus on seizing opportunities has played a crucial role in his recent success.

In the girls’ category, Sarines mirrored Padilla’s dominance, winning by 18 strokes over her twin sister, Mona Sarines. Lisa finished with a 69, totaling 214 and reversing an earlier loss to Mona at John Hay.

While Mona started strong with four birdies, she struggled late in the round, finishing at 232. Rafa Anciano rounded out the top three with a score of 237.

Sarines also expressed her desire to improve. "This win means a lot because it boosts my confidence. I’m always working to get better every day, every round," she said.

Padilla and Sarines’ victories add them to the list of earlier division winners in the regional series, highlighting their skill and potential as they prepare for the next stages in Pampanga and Cavite.
