The Meralco Bolts defeated the Blackwater Bossing 108-93 on Sunday, solidifying their position for a playoff bonus in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup. This victory comes just two days after a commanding win over Barangay Ginebra.
With this latest win, the Bolts improved their record to 7-3, tying them with the Gin Kings. Coach Luigi Trillo praised the team's readiness, stating they are accustomed to playing in quick succession.
We’re used to playing almost every other day; we had times in the EASL where we played three or four games like that. We also shot the ball well. It’s a testament to these guys because they came locked in.

Meralco began the game strong, leading 61-51 at halftime. They extended their advantage in the third quarter with a 16-9 run, highlighted by a slam dunk from Marvin Jones.
