This victory allowed Magnolia to finish the elimination phase with a 7-5 record, clinching the fifth seed in the upcoming playoffs.
Paul Lee was instrumental in the Hotshots' success, scoring 13 points during critical middle quarters, which helped establish a strong lead.
Clint Chapman topped the scoring for Magnolia with 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Javi Gomez de Liano contributed 10 points.
Despite the loss, Meralco secured the fourth seed with an 8-3 record, setting up a potential playoff matchup against Magnolia.
Marvin Jones and Javee Mocon led the Bolts, each scoring 14 points.
