Jannik Sinner, the world’s top-ranked tennis player, is poised to make history at the Madrid Open. He defeated Arthur Fils in the semifinals with a score of 6-2, 6-4, extending his winning streak to 22 matches.

Sinner will compete against No. 3 Alexander Zverev in the final, marking his fifth consecutive Masters 1000 tournament appearance. Zverev earned his spot by overcoming Belgium's Alexander Blockx 6-2, 7-5.

Sinner's remarkable journey includes recent victories over Zverev in semifinals across major tournaments, including Paris and Miami, without losing a single set.

Sinner's Milestone Achievement

With his semifinal win, Sinner achieved his 350th career victory, becoming the first player born in the 2000s to reach this milestone. He expressed satisfaction with his performance, stating, 'I’m trying to play the best possible tennis. Today was a very good day in the office.'

Moreover, Sinner is now among an elite group of players, being the youngest to reach the final at all nine Masters 1000 events, joining legends like Federer, Djokovic, and Nadal.

I am looking forward to playing Jannik again and looking forward to a tough match,” said Zverev. “The better player will win on Sunday.
