Luka Doncic, the star player for the Los Angeles Lakers, has no clear timeline for his return from a hamstring strain. The injury has kept him out of the NBA playoffs, causing frustration for the 27-year-old Slovenian.
Speaking to reporters in Oklahoma City, Doncic expressed his disappointment, stating, "I don't think people understand how frustrating it is." He emphasized the importance of playing during this critical time.
Doncic suffered the injury on April 2, which forced him to miss the end of the regular season and the Lakers' first-round victory against the Houston Rockets.
He shared, "It's very frustrating seeing what my team is doing. I'm very proud of them. It's been very tough just to sit and watch them play."

After an MRI, Doncic was informed that recovery could take up to eight weeks. To expedite his healing, he traveled to Spain for platelet-rich plasma treatments.
He noted, "I think that is one of the best countries to do that," adding that he consulted with Lakers doctors before making the trip.
Despite his efforts, Doncic is cautious about returning too soon. He stated, "It's a tough one for me because I came back from injuries (before) too soon and it wasn't the best result."
He highlighted the uniqueness of hamstring injuries, saying, "You have to be very careful and I'm doing everything to come back." Currently, he has resumed running but has not yet participated in contact drills.
Doncic had a stellar regular season, leading the league in scoring with an average of 33.5 points, along with 8.3 assists and 7.7 rebounds.
