In contrast, No. 3 seed Felix Auger-Aliassime faced an unexpected exit, marking him as the highest-ranked player eliminated thus far.

Naomi Osaka battled through a challenging match against Katerina Siniakova, winning 6-2, 5-7, 6-1. Despite a mid-match slump, Osaka regained her momentum to secure victory.

The match was definitely really tough and I don’t know, I just felt like I had to fight. I definitely had a couple opportunities in the second set and I think I was a little bit too hard on myself.
