In a bid to manage traffic and ensure public safety, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte announced that all classes in public and private schools will be suspended on Monday, July 27, 2026. The suspension aligns with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s upcoming fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa.

Mayor Belmonte confirmed the decision via Viber, stating that the suspension aims to alleviate anticipated traffic congestion around the House of Representatives due to road closures.

The city government will deploy personnel from the Quezon City Police District and the Department of Public Order and Safety, led by Elmo San Diego, to manage traffic effectively.

Additionally, a city-wide liquor ban is likely to be enforced to minimize disturbances during the event. Belmonte has also encouraged demonstrators to coordinate with the DPOS for rally permits.
