During a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro detailed that the financial aid is in addition to support already provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of Education (DepEd).
Castro further noted that the government is implementing additional safety measures in schools, such as installing metal detectors and CCTV cameras. These steps aim to enhance security and involve closer collaboration with parents and local officials.
The government's proactive stance also includes a significant restriction on the game GoreBox, which was linked to one of the suspects. The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) has worked to have the game removed from platforms like Google Play and Steam in the Philippines.
