Malacañang has officially approved Vice President Sara Duterte's travel authority, allowing her to embark on international trips from May 2 to May 15.

Press officer Claire Castro confirmed the approval, which includes visits to countries in Europe and Asia.

Duterte's initial travel plans featured destinations such as the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, and the United Kingdom, but the schedule was adjusted due to delays in travel authority approval.

According to Castro, the Office of the President (OP) had previously authorized Duterte to travel while on leave, ensuring no public funds would be utilized for these trips.

Duterte was permitted to travel 'while on leave of absence, at no cost to the government.'
