Ligutan's post referenced the prohibition against misleading questions during cross-examination, a point raised by Sheila Sison, Duterte’s lead defense counsel. He insisted his statement merely reflected the existing Rules of Court without targeting any individual or case.
In an ambush interview, Ligutan stated, “Did I mention a name? Did I mention what case? Zero. Nothing. Nada.” He expressed regret if anyone felt personally affected by his comments.
