Bacolor's Mayor Eduardo G. Datu has reached out to the National Housing Authority (NHA) for assistance for residents of the San Guillermo Village Resettlement Project in Barangay Tinajero, who were severely impacted by floods in August 2026.
In a letter dated September 17, 2026, addressed to NHA General Manager Joeben A. Tai, Datu detailed the challenges faced by the community due to the southwest monsoon, also known as "Habagat," which led to heavy and prolonged rains across Central Luzon.
