A total of 170 Filipinos arrived back in the Philippines from Kuwait early Saturday morning. The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) confirmed their return, which took place at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.
The group arrived on Kuwait Airways Flight KU 417 at 7 a.m. Government representatives from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and OWWA were present to assist the returning workers.
OWWA stated that it coordinated the workers' travel back to their respective provinces, providing domestic flights and land transportation to ensure their safe journey home.

In a related update, the DMW reported that 18 Filipino seafarers returned home on separate flights on Thursday and Friday. These seafarers were previously aboard the Liberian ship MV MSC Ishyka.
The crew exercised their right to refuse sailing to India, which would have involved passage through the high-risk Strait of Hormuz, in accordance with DMW Advisory No. 09.
DMW officials met with the crew in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to provide support and ensure their safe return.
The ongoing conflicts in the Middle East have led many Filipinos employed in the region to seek repatriation, highlighting the government's commitment to their safety.
