The Metrobank Foundation has announced its 2026 Outstanding Filipinos, recognizing ten individuals for their significant contributions to education, security, and community service.
This year's theme, 'Beyond Excellence,' highlights the awardees' innovative approaches and unwavering commitment to their respective fields.
Diverse Contributions Recognized
The Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos are more than exemplary teachers, soldiers, and police officers. They are role models who inspire others to serve with integrity, excellence, and purpose.

- Awardees include four teachers, three soldiers, and three police officers.
- Each awardee will receive P1 million and a trophy.
The ten honorees will be celebrated during a ceremony on September 4, 2026, at the Grand Hyatt Manila in Bonifacio Global City.
The awardees for 2026 are:
- Emmanuel D. Guarde, PhD - Master Teacher III, Cornelio Lintawagin Memorial Elementary School, Oriental Mindoro
- Sheila Marie M. Amigo - Master Teacher I, Siay National High School, Zamboanga Sibugay
- Cecilia O. Bucayong, PhD - Professor VI, Central Mindanao University, Bukidnon
- Jefferson A. Hora, PhD - Professor VI, Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology, Lanao del Norte
- Staff Sergeant Joebelle O. Cerdinio (SC) PA - 102nd Infantry Brigade, Philippine Army, Zamboanga Sibugay
- Staff Sergeant John Daren P. Noche PAF - Tactical Operations Wing Eastern Mindanao, Philippine Air Force, Agusan del Norte
- Lieutenant Colonel Rommel M. Geli PN(M) - Philippine Marine Corps, Palawan
- Police Master Sergeant Dwight Alexis B. Supsupin - Philippine National Police, Benguet
- Police Major Baby Rose P. Cajulao - Philippine National Police, Cagayan
- Police Lieutenant Colonel Robert R. Mansueto - Philippine National Police, Antique
The selection process was rigorous, employing a multi-stage assessment by panels of experts from various sectors, including government and civil society.
This initiative, established in 1985 by Dr. George S.K. Ty, has recognized 735 individuals over its 41-year history, reinforcing a tradition of honoring service and excellence.
