President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. celebrated Mother's Day by honoring the selfless love and sacrifices of Filipino mothers. In a heartfelt message, he expressed gratitude for their contributions to families and society.

He particularly highlighted the significance of the day for the three most important women in his life: his mother Imelda, sister Irene, and wife Liza Araneta-Marcos.

"You are the light of the home and the pillar of every Filipino family," Marcos stated, emphasizing how mothers strengthen homes and communities.

Notably, his eldest sister, Senator Imee Marcos, was absent from the Mother's Day tribute due to ongoing personal and political differences.

This Mother's Day, I sincerely honor and thank all mothers. Thank you very much for the love you selflessly give every day for your families and for our country.

In addition to his public message, Marcos shared a special video tribute for his wife. The montage featured their family, set to the song "Panalangin" by Apo Hiking Society.

"Our boys could not have asked for a more loving mother, and I could not have asked for a better partner to walk through life with," he added.

The First Couple recently returned from the 48th Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit in Cebu, underlining their commitment to family even amidst their busy schedules.
