Nitori Holdings Co., Ltd., a leading Japanese lifestyle company, has made a significant donation of P30 million to the GMA Kapuso Foundation to aid families affected by a devastating earthquake in Mindanao.
The donation, announced on July 21, 2026, also includes two 20-foot container vans filled with new bedding, housewares, and clothing, valued at P7.5 million.

The Philippine government, through the Office of the First Lady and the Department of Tourism, facilitated the transfer of these donations. The Department of the Interior and Local Government played a crucial role in ensuring that the aid reached the families most in need.

The cash donation will specifically fund the construction of temporary shelter pods in several areas, including Malapatan and Alabel in Sarangani, and General Santos City.
Meanwhile, the material donations will benefit families in Malapatan, Glan, and other towns in Sarangani and South Cotabato.
