During the Annual Regional Scout Committee (Rescom) and Key-3 Meeting on June 11, 2026, held in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. was elected as the new regional chairman of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines (BSP) for Central Luzon.

The election was overseen by several prominent figures, including Dr. Emmanuel Antonio Umali, who transitioned from his role as regional chairman to vice-chairman. Other attendees included regional scout commissioners and local council chairpersons.

Ebdane, also the chairman of both the Regional Development Council and the Regional Peace and Order Council, expressed his dedication to enhancing leadership and cooperation within the scouting community.
He aims to initiate programs that will cultivate skills and patriotism among the youth in Central Luzon. His recent election marks a significant step in revitalizing the scouting movement in the region.
Following his election, Ebdane presided over the Ramon Magsaysay Zambales Council's regular board meeting on June 15, 2026. Discussions focused on reviewing financial statements and planning for future activities, including a recap of the 33rd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree.
New appointments were made to various council committees, aimed at strengthening organizational capacity and ensuring effective program implementation.
