In Upi, Maguindanao del Norte, families gathered to celebrate the end of the school year during a moving-up ceremony. Students and teachers donned their best outfits for the occasion.

Jennevie Cornelio, a dedicated Teduray mother, was among those present. Dressed in a pink floral dress with her hair elegantly styled, she proudly supported her children during this milestone.

As a council member of the Teduray and Lambangian indigenous political structure, Jennevie balances her role as a mother of five with community responsibilities. Her third child, Althea, had just completed 10th grade, while her eldest daughter, Fiona, was graduating from senior high school.

After the ceremony, Jennevie took her family to a local restaurant and bakeshop for lunch. Following the celebration, she quickly changed into a more practical outfit of a shirt and pants, topped off with a colorful *dudom ulës*, a traditional headgear.

Her commitment to both family and community shines as she heads to the Timuay Justice and Governance office in Datu Odin Sinsuat, ready to fulfill her duties.
