During the event, she reflected on her film career, stating that her focus has shifted primarily to her responsibilities as a public servant. Santos emphasized the challenges she faces in balancing her political role with her passion for acting.
"I may reduce my film work due to my duties, but I’m open to doing another indie film if the right project comes along," she noted.
Santos has had discussions with director Jeffrey Jeturian, who is actively seeking a suitable script for her. Despite the limited pay and shorter hours typical of indie films, she finds a deeper satisfaction in these projects compared to mainstream cinema.
Friendship Beyond Politics
In related news, fellow actress Aiko Melendez continues her strong friendship with artist manager Ogie Diaz, despite their differing political views. Melendez is a supporter of Sara Duterte, while Diaz backs Leni Robredo.
Diaz, who manages Melendez's career, respects her political choices and remains focused on her professional life. He shared that Melendez intends to complete her term as a councilor.
