The Philippine Senate has officially recognized the girl group BINI for being the first Filipino act to perform at the prestigious Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
On Wednesday, the Senate adopted Resolution No. 370, commending the group for their significant achievement.
Senator Bam Aquino sponsored the resolution, highlighting the importance of this milestone for the Philippines.
During the session, Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III encouraged attendees to applaud BINI, despite the usual prohibition on applause in plenary.
This historic performance places BINI among the ranks of international artists, showcasing Filipino talent on a global platform.
