The Philippines has confirmed it will host national finals for the Eurovision Song Contest Asia this August, a significant step in its musical journey on the global stage.
Roxy Liquigan, head of music at ABS-CBN, announced the news during a live viewing of the Eurovision Song Contest grand final in Vienna. Liquigan expressed enthusiasm for showcasing Filipino talent.
He stated, “The Philippines is excited not only to share our own music to the world, but also to celebrate and appreciate the incredible artistry that the world shares with us.”
A New Milestone for Philippine Music
This announcement marks the Philippines' first participation in the Eurovision Asia, which will take place on November 14, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand. The event promises to feature artists from ten participating countries.
With ABS-CBN leading the Philippines’ highly-anticipated debut in the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia, team Philippines is also thrilled for our first-ever Eurovision Asia national selection this year.

The live viewing event at Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium, organized by the Austrian embassy and Pilipinas Calling, united fans to celebrate the grand final, where Bulgaria triumphed with the song 'Bangaranga' by Dara.
